New Learning

The C & I managers are attempting to work together in a more efficient and effective way. This, of course, means we have to learn new things. Just like the students we serve, we need encouragement, feedback, and lots of practice in order to become proficient. It has been a bit challenging, but I am finally feeling confident that we are making progress. I have noticed things about our various learning styles as we have progressed. Without differentiated instruction and reteaching, we'd still be stuck in the muck of TTWWADI. Thank goodness for those who responded with interventions! Very soon we'll be celebrating our acheivements, and we'll be eager for more new learning. Our experience has reminded me of the challenges of teaching and learning. Both are hard work, but if we persevere, even the most difficult students (like me) can achieve.

  2. I agree. Education is certainly fluid - and how great that it is. Who would have thought ten years ago that we would touch a screen and information would pop-up for us, the issue of texting in cars is cause for concern, and to Twitter is not just for Bambi.

  3. The pendulum continues to swing. A positive attitude goes along way as we confront necessary changes in our pathway. By the way, I like the ESS Group. It sounds sophisticated and I hope it will give our team a great new image!

  5. New learning sometimes means looking forward to new changes, challenges and opportunities! I think that our staff retreat last week prepared us for this new journey that we are about to embark on. Armed with renewed energy and zest will help to propel us to the most creative, innovative and state-of-the art, premiere professional learning department in the country! With this group of "creative geniuses" we can achieve this when we all work together, forging ahead! I can barely wait for the journey to begin!! MOVING FORWARD!!
